Recycling and Garbage The Town of Hammel currently takes recyclables and trash at the town’s central collection location at the town hall located at W8792 Center Avenue, Medford, WI 54451. Sanitary Station Hours: First and third Saturdays of every month: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The recycling attendant is on duty during this time to assist residents. Garbage Collection The Town of Hammel sells clear, printed garbage bags (30-gallon) for $3 each that must be used for garbage collection. Bags can be purchased during sanitary station hours from the attendant. Filled garbage bags are also only taken during sanitary station hours. Brush Collection Residents of the Town of Hammel can arrange with the grader operator to deposit grass, leaves, and small brush.
